Club meeting  

Our April club meeting will feature a presentation on Emergency Communication.  Our Chester County Emergency Coordinator, Ron Means (W5DAT) will make a presentation on ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) and RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service) and how these two organizations are setup to serve Chester County and the West Tennessee area.  Recently licensed ham radio operators will have the opportunity to sign up to serve as an ARES member/operator.   The National Weather Service’s SKYWARN Program will also be discussed.  Ron will be setting a date at this meeting for a local Chester County ARES exercise this Spring/Summer for our ARES members to participate in.  More on this will be discussed at the meeting.

Club meeting  

Our May meeting will be our annual 'eatin-meetin' where we enjoy a pot luck meal with all our friends.  This meeting also gives you the opportunity to sign up for new yearly membership and elect club officers.  We will also talk about upcoming events like a potential swap-fest and Field Day.  As you can see, this is an important meeting and I hope to see everyone there.  We will have more updates on our mailing list.

Club meeting
 Our June meeting will feature a presentation on repeaters in the Amateur Radio service.  We will cover repeater basics, both hardware and operations.  We will also talk about common maintenance issues and solutions.  This promises to be an interesting presentation.  We will also cover the details on the upcoming Field Day activities.

Club meeting

Our July meeting will be a presentation covering 'Basic Antenna theory". We will talk about the most common HF & VHF/UHF antennas and how they work.  At a later date we will cover specific antennas.

Swap-Fest

We will be having a swap fest at the Chester County High School. See Swap-Fest  for more details.

August 19th at 7:00 PM

Club meeting
 Richard England (W4KRU) will present a more hands on approach to antennas. The presentation will be somewhat of a show and tell and will covered the actual construction of many antennas.  This promises to be a very informative meeting.

Club meeting
 Our next meeting is a "Radio Equipment Roundup".  It will be a show and tell as everyone brings in their favorite pieces of radio gear.  You should expect to see radio equipment both old and current vintage, kits, home brew and commercial. Each person will have a chance to present their gear and most will allow you to spin the knobs and press the buttons. This is a hands on type meeting where you will get to see a lot of great gear, some of which you might be interested in seeing and maybe borrowing.  So gather up your radio gear and come on out to our meeting. This will be a fun time.

 Advanced Storm Spotter class. Henderson Fire Stations training room. 
505 Sanford Street, Henderson, TN 38340.  This is the next step after the basic class that is offered every year. The public is more then welcome

Club meeting
Take a Video tour of Ten-Tec.  Ten-Tec has provided a DVD showing their operation.  From their production line to their sales and support. Also included is a quick show of their complete radio line. Ten-Tec has also provided handout.  This  is about the last American Ham Radio manufacturing facility and it's right here in Tennessee!

December 16th at 6:00 PM

Club meeting
-  Christmas pot luck and Christmas celebration.  This is always a fun time and open to the entire family.  It's a great time to enjoy the fellowship of our fellow Ham Radio friends and their family's.
