Storm Spotters:

Please be aware of the weather situation moving into our area early
tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.  If possible, monitor the repeater should
we need to activate a net for reports and to pass on watches/warnings.
Looks like we are in for some strong straight-line winds. 

 

Below is the latest report I have received here at the radio station
from the NWS in Memphis.

STRONG WINDS WILL OCCUR OVER THE MIDSOUTH LATE TONIGHT AND

WEDNESDAY...

...DAMAGING THUNDERSTORM WINDS POSSIBLE EARLY WEDNESDAY...

 

SOUTH WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND PERSIST

THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. 

 

A THUNDERSTORM SQUALL LINE WILL ENTER EASTERN ARKANSAS AN HOUR

OR TWO PRIOR TO SUNRISE WEDNESDAY MORNING. DAMAGING THUNDERSTORM

WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE IN ADVANCE OF THIS SQUALL

LINE. THE THUNDERSTORM SQUALL LINE WILL PASS THROUGH THE MEMPHIS

METROPOLITAN AREA DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE PERIOD.

 

THE SQUALL LINE WILL LIKELY EXIT WEST TENNESSEE AND NORTH MISSISSIPPI

BY 10 AM. WEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH WILL

PREVAIL BEHIND THE SQUALL LINE THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY WEDNESDAY.
